Welcome back to Selections, a series of artist-curated playlists from those in the know.

Multi-instrumentalist, DJ, producer and recording artist Ouri stitches together the sort of songs that carry an atmospheric heft, whilst also being fragile, courtesy of her delicate use of instrumentation and vocals.

Ouri’s talent as a classically-trained cello and harp player adds an emotional layer to her music, sculpting tracks that blend genres whilst staying true to her experimental electronic roots. A fixture of Montreal’s underground rave scene in her teens, she has collaborated with the likes of Helena Deland and Mind Bath and toured with Jacques Greene and Tves Tumour across the US and Europe.

Ahead of her performance at Lunchmeat Festival in Prague (taking place 22-28 September), Ouri has curated a playlist to unwind to. Her Selections choices span glitchy electronic beats, blissed out dreamy vocalists and atmospheric soundscapes.

She says: “Coming back from a heroic quest, you receive the full embrace of your people after a cig break. You finally realise the meaning of the word love, and you don’t know if you’re made for war games anymore. Just sitting by the fire makes you happy.”
